One Hell of a Trip

The End, or perhaps The Beginning

I remember the day I left for this crazy journey, it was 27th May 2015 and I was wondering if I was ready. While I’m writing this, I’m sitting in the library back in Brno, Czech republic. Time was a little bit hectic before this trip… Organizing, preparing and trying to finish all my exams. All these memories feel a little bit like it was yesterday. So much is like it used to be and it feels like nothing really changed.

Before I started I thought about all the astonishing places I’m going to visit and all the cool things I’m going to do. And I did visit many of these places and did a lot of cool things. But after all, the greatest moments I had on this trip, were because of the people around me. It may sound like a cliche but the people really made this trip. Total strangers sharing their homes and lives with me. Making these experiences together and not alone is what made it so great. Standing on the top of world-class mountains is amazing, but what’s even more amazing is standing there together. Surfing good waves is a lot of fun, but surfing it with friends is what makes it the most fun to do! Sharing live and stories with other people on this planet are what makes it so enjoyable. The people I met or who tagged along made the whole One Hell of a Trip unforgettable.

I, frankly, thought that One Hell of a Trip was only a journey around the world but it’s not. It’s rather a lifestyle; the way of an active life and although one chapter has just come to an end others are coming already. Every journey must have an end; a finish line. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to reflect on it. It would be much like sailing on a sea without a compass.

Thank you to anyone following this project. I hope you liked the pictures and, perhaps, gained some inspiration from it. Big thank you belongs to everyone who helped out with anything & anywhere. Without you, it would have not been the same! I miss those times already but they will last forever as great memories and stories.

Lastly, whatever you do, don’t forget to challenge yourself as often as possible, make a lot of mistakes, learn from them, help others and be positive. It’s fun!

ACTION = REACTION.

Good luck,

Simon
